Political Fiction

Political fiction uses a fictional story to comment on or contextualize political events, systems, or theories from the non-fictional world. Works of political fiction, such as political novels, often directly criticize an existing society or present an alternative or even a fantastical alternate reality. Speculative political fiction shares a common history or even present with the reader, but tells the story of a future potential reality. Political novels often overlap in genre with social novels.
