This a new author for me and I am looking forward to his next book. This introduces Jackson Piper who is on his way back to D.C. after the Xmas recess. He is working on getting the necessary votes to get rid of the filibuster. He lets his Chief of Staff know as they ride together. The next session of congress is slated to begin with the swearing in of new elected Senators.
Read along and discover who put Jackson in this role and find out how the effort was brought up in a unique.
The story portrays a good representation of how politics is working now even though the story is represented as in the future.
Definitely a good read, don’t miss out.

This story begins with Jackson and Valerie having to hide because Marco Alvarez having issued an arrest order once he assumed the presidency. The latest POTUS, Pres. Warner, died in what was called an attack on New Year’s Eve which Jackson and Valerie were supposedly responsible for. Marco had assumed the role of President even though he wasn’t next in line. The election that was just held did not have any individual, so it would now come down to a Contingent Election where the House would elect the President and the Senate would elect the Vice President.
Read along and discover the steps that Maro was willing to take to attain power as well as the efforts that the “Bull Moose Party” took to make sure that everything was done correctly. Learn what individuals pledged support to Marko and why, discover the role that Olivia played and how it all ended.
This series was well laid out and provides a look at what it takes in order to run a campaign and what can derail aan individual. I recommend that you read all 3 books starting with “The Senate Deception” and ending with “Tree of Liberty”. I know you won’t be disappointed.
